No matter if you ride off-road or on, in dusty conditions or pollen filled ones, you know that the simple act of breathing can sometimes be a challenge. The RZR Mask is designed to eliminate that challenge. No matter if you ride off-road or on, in dusty conditions or pollen filled ones, you know that the simple act of breathing can sometimes be a challenge. The RZR Mask is designed to eliminate that challenge. Being a strictly on-road kind of rider, I didn’t need the RZR Mask to eliminate dust and particulates like an off-road rider might but I was very interested to see how the mask would handle pollen. Spring and Summer here in FL have brutal pollen counts and even those without allergies suffer. Putting the RZR Mask on is simple and thanks to its neoprene construction the mask is comfortable when on. Inside the outer mask are the filter inserts which are removable and replaceable. These filters are N99 Active Carbon filters and filter out 99.9% of dust, particulates, pollen, and odors in the air. I was a bit concerned about the fit of the RZR Mask under a full face helmet but I found no issues wearing it under my full face Bell Star. If you wear a half helmet or ¾ one, the RZR will not only keep the air going into your lungs clean but it will also help keep bugs and other light debris from hitting your face. The RZR Mask is held on by Velcro straps and there is a pocket on one of the straps that will hold a small Mp3 player – however this pocket isn’t recommended by 2WF.com to use while riding because of the chance for injury. I found that the RZR Mask works well at eliminating pollen and dust so I decided to test the odor blocking ability by pitting it against one of the strongest odors known to man - a dirty cat litter box - and it worked! I'm not going to say that it blocked 99.9% of the odor but it certainly blocked a good 80-90% of it - and I have facial hair which may have compromised the seal. The RZR Mask works well and would be appreciated by any on or off road rider looking to cut down on the amount of dust, exhaust fumes, pollen, etc.. that gets into their bodies. Retail for the RZR Mask is $29.95 with replacement filters costing $6.95 each. For more information you can check out www.rzrmasks.com
