Ah yes, another year is heading towards the record books which means a new year is just around the corner with all new motorcycles for us to enjoy. Yamaha has all of their favorites returning as well as three new models: FZ8, Super Tenere and the Styker.

.

If you’re a fan of naked motorcycles than the FZ8 might just tickle your fancy. Edgy styling and performance give this bike a good balance whether you’re commuting to work or on a weekend ride with “the boys.” Big brakes, 17 in. wheels and an inline 4-cylinder engine are all that’s needed for some fun times which the FZ8 should provide. The 2011 FZ8 will be available in dealerships nationwide beginning in December with a starting MSRP of $8,490 and will be available in a Raven color scheme.

.

Don’t want a BMW or KTM but have plans to travel a route that rivals the Dakar Rally? Well Yamaha’s betting that the Super Tenere will be your guide whether you’re traversing the highway, tight and twisty canyon roads or unpaved back roads. The Super Tenere features lots of little g-whiz nuggets (e.g. YCC-T, D-Mode, ABS/UBS, etc.) but the ultra compact DOHC 1200cc parallel twin engine with a 270 degree crank certainly gives it a unique characteristic. The Super Tenere has a starting MSRP of $13,900 and will be available in Blue as well as Raven.

.

So you don’t want a Harley Davidson (not that there’s anything wrong with that) but still want a cruiser so you can take your significant other to the local bike night? Well then say hello to the all new Stryker from Star Motorcycles. A big 1304cc, 60 degree v-twin engine, dual exhaust system, low seat height and a raked out front end give this bike a real muscular look. For those that want to cut, chop or modify their bikes you’re in luck as the Stryker has steel fenders rather than the cheap plastic fenders found on some competitors. The 2011 Stryker will be available in dealerships nationwide beginning September 2010 with a starting MSRP of $10,990 for the Raven model and $11,240 for Impact Blue or Reddish Copper colors.
